RSHU is recognised as a highly-effective Regional Training Centre of the World Meteorological Organization. A unique feature of RSHU is the ability for students to study meteorology in English. RSHU prepares students for rewarding careers in meteorology, hydrology and related sciences. It also provides opportunities for employment in a wide-range of jobs requiring some knowledge of environmental science. Studying at RSHU provides the basis for enjoyable and interesting careers."

"For me no was my first time that I was studying abroad, but ever is good experience travel and study. The academic plan was accurate and the teachers were friendly in every moment and they helped you when you needed. They taught not only russian language in my case; was helpfully learn history, literature, politics and russian culture for me. The responsable of the IRO and director of the programme of the RSHU was kindly. I recommend study abroad. In a sooner future my work and my life i hope that will be in Russia. I am happy that i had this oportunity for improving my skills in russian language. And ever is good idea combine studies with a stay in a beautiful city like Saint Petersburg (I prefer call this city Leningrad). I have met a lot of interesting people from diferent countries and cultures, and it's enrichment."

"Eranet-Mundus program is an well organized opportunity for everyone. My stay at Russian Hydrometeorological University was a wonderful experience. Not only i had a chance to live in foreign country and met people from every corner of the world (Russians, Catalans, Spaniards, Colombians, Filipinos, Uzbeks, Ecuadorians, Pamirians etc.) but also i had a chance to study my field of study with local students in regular classes hosted by very nice and profesional professors. Stay in Saint Petersburg gave me an insight to culture of Russia and taught me that we are not so different after all. This experience enchanced me both profesionaly and humanly, i will definitelly remember this time forever."
Darius Chreno, Slovak University of Agriculture, Eranet Plus academic mobility program
During training at RSHU I listened to a series of hydrological disciplines: "Dynamics of flow and channel processes", "Hydrological calculations (stream runoff)", "Water management and regulation of river flows", "Aerospace methods of the natural environment research ", "Hydrological forecasts" "Hydrotechnics and Melioration", "Dangerous hydrological phenomena", "Economics of hydrometeorological support of economic activity." At the end of the course "Hydrological calculations" has been executed a course project.
As for me, the system of higher education in RSHU differs from the system of ENU. At the lecture allocated more academic hours. Availability of laboratory allows obtaining more practical skills. And, of course, the number of teaching staff is much more, as for the specialty "Hydrology" separate a full faculty which operates by four departments.
Leisure time
Memories and impressions about the Petersburg and about carried out there for 5 months - the most bright and warm. During the time spent there, this full of life and breath of history city has become for me a really familiar.
Special atmosphere, style and uneventfulness, peculiar to this city give some tranquility and spiritual harmony, due to here you can feel very comfortable and cozy.
Ah, those wonderful "Neva panorama", of which makes the heart soar, and lungs filled with the breath of indescribable happiness. Because all the esthetic beauty of the city pleases all your entire being, at the same time carrying away into the depths of the past.
Pieter gave a lot of great, sometimes difficult, but unforgettable moments. It is fascinating hiking and informative excursions, travel and acquaintance, fanny parties, and, of course, studies, which had a main and a central place at these 5 months.
I'm happy, because had the opportunity to learn in a great university, which for its 85 years has produced many famous hydrologists, and, of course, these 5 months in St. Petersburg, I will never forget.
For all this I am grateful to my parents, lecturers, staff of RSHU and ENU.
